The current second wave of Virtual Reality (VR) initiated after the advent Oculus Rift in 2012 has led to millions head-mounted displays (HMDs) being sold worldwide and a vast varied amount content produced. In addition, as it happened with VR’s first few decades ago, an exciting body research emerged. During both such waves, much described pivotal terminology ambiguously, which among other things lack agreement on nomenclature VR types. This paper proposes consider medium its own set core elements, shedding light specificities. text offers taxonomy types taking into consideration elements particular, concept embodied interactivity, proposing possible directions further advance medium.
